I only shoot 2 arrows at a time, so it is only a 2 arrow group. But,
1" at 60 with broadheads just made my day! As brad and I were
discussing, I'd never shoot at an animal that far, but it's good
practice :0)

Brandon, not only is good practice, it will assist in making that 30yd shot that much easier!
ReplyDeleteExactly WB. I wasn't going to have a 60 yard pin, but 50 was coming together so well I decided to do it.
ReplyDeleteLike I said, I wouldn't actually shoot that far at an animal (unless it was wounded and that long shot was our only chance to recover it). Even with my bow, which is +310fps, there is a lot of time for an animal to jump the string. I recorded myself shooting from 60 and analyzed the sound file (bow shot to arrow hit) to estimate how long the arrow flew: about 1/3 of a second. Doesn't sound like much, but--as we all know--all the bull would have to do is take 1 step to go from heart-shot to gut-shot. Just not worth the risk!
